2017 // A Year in Review
There are a lot of reasons why I love a certain photo. Sometimes it’s the photographer in me saying, “Great light, check. Moment, check. Good composition, check.” Then there are the photos that make me nostalgic. It’s a photo that speaks to something deep in my soul that I’m certain no one else can see or feel. Perhaps I choose a photo because it was my tenacity, grit and hustle that made the image fall into place. The images I love the most are the ones where my subjects trust me and open their lives and emotions to me. I’m not even going to pretend that all these photos are award-winning. I just want you to know that I cherish them for lots of different reasons. These little moments of goodness that I’ve plucked from the thousands and thousands of photos I took in 2017 have made the hours behind my computer a happier place.
